Game Rules

5 Card Stud puts you face-to-face with the dealer in a five-card showdown. You're armed with full information on your hand before you commit, you see one dealer card as intel, and if you raise and win, the progressive pay table delivers up to 1000x your Ante for a Royal Flush. This is high-ceiling poker action with a single decision standing between you and the payout.

  1. Post your Ante and the deal begins. Five cards to you, one dealer card face-up for reading - their other four stay hidden.
  2. Read the board: your five cards versus the one dealer card you can see. Decide your move based on hand strength and dealer upcard.
  3. Raise with a 2x Play bet to stay in the fight. Fold and cut your losses if your hand is weak - you only lose the Ante.
  4. The dealer opens their hand. Ace-King minimum to qualify. No qualification - your Ante pays 1:1, Play bet returns. Simple win.
  5. Qualified dealer? Hands are compared. Win and both your Ante and Play bets pay out - Play bet at the progressive rate based on your hand rank.
  6. Chase the Royal Flush. It pays 100:1 on the Play bet at full published rate. Straight Flush is 50:1. Four of a Kind is 20:1. Every hand has upside when the dealer qualifies. Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main 5 Card Stud payouts.

Winning Strategies

5 Card Stud strategy is about information leverage. You see all five of your cards and one dealer card before committing your 2x raise. Use that intel. Pair or better is an automatic raise - no hesitation. Ace-King with position? Raise if the dealer shows a card matching one of yours. Fold the trash quickly and move to the next hand.

The pay table is why you play 5 Card Stud. Qualify against the dealer with a Full House and your Play bet pays 7:1. Straight Flush pays 50:1. Royal Flush - the absolute peak - delivers 1000x on the Play bet. That's real money at real stakes. A $25 Ante means a $50 Play bet and a Royal Flush payout of $50,000. This game has ceiling.

Protect your bankroll by keeping Ante sizes measured. The 2x raise means you're always committing 3x total when you call. One losing session at oversized stakes can hurt. Keep Antes at 1-2% of session bankroll so you can weather a dealer qualification streak and stay in the game for the big hands.

Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main 5 Card Stud payouts. A spades Royal Flush in your five cards that ALSO contains all six high spades pays both the Play bet at 100:1 and the dollar side bet at the million on the same hand.

Provably Fair Gaming

5 Card Stud runs on SHA-256 provably fair technology - every ten-card deal is cryptographically locked before a single card appears. Server seed committed, hash published, outcome fixed. Nothing changes after you see the commitment. This is math, not trust.

End your session and every hand becomes fully auditable. The server seed is revealed, your client seed is on record, and every deal can be reconstructed using the published algorithm. Pull up any hand, run the verification, see the exact same ten-card sequence that was dealt. Zero ambiguity, zero room for manipulation.

Millionaire Mode is a paid $1 Royal Spades side bet that runs alongside the round; it does not reduce your main 5 Card Stud payouts. Disclosed at session end, fully verifiable from a single seed set. 5 Card Stud at WickedBet is one of the most transparent poker variants in the crypto space.
